Keeping your kids healthy throughout the summer!

It is time to start thinking about how to keep your kids busy throughout summer vacation. After all, school gets out in about a month. Child obesity is a terrible epidemic that we must combat so lids can live healthy long lives. So here are some tips to keep your kids busy throughout the summer.
– schedule a weeklong camp with one of their favorite activities such as tennis, basketball, etc.
– go to the beach or pool regularly. Swimming is great exercise!
– schedule playdates with their friends
– prepare meals for your kids instead of having them eat out
– go for a walk/bike ride on the bike path. Many towns have a bikepath nearby.
– for little ones, have lots of toys in your backyard
– for bigger kids, teach them new sports like kickball, dodgeball etc
The key to keeping your kids out of the TV room is by keeping them active and entertained. Hope some of these tips help!
